Copy of Pierre Auguste Renoir's Jeanne Samary
I was inspired to copy Renoir’s painting of Jeanne Samary when my friend Natasha and I were contemplating copying great works of art placing our own faces on them. She chose Jeanne, I chose a something by Mary Cassat, but then I read the book (from the Morningside library in Port Saint Lucie, FL) called Luncehon of the Boating Party by Susan Vreeland. I then decided to copy Jeanne, as Jeanne….and she won a third place ribbon for me in a local juried exhibition in which I entered her! It’s a great novel! I highly recommend it.
